Ged leads our successful Community benefits plan on the Slough Urban renewal JV.

She is responsible for setting local Employment & Skills plans for all new developments and delivering local community benefits events and initiatives. Ged has Construction Information advice & guidance training, further & adult education teaching qualification and a degree in building Surveying, having worked previously as a surveyor.

Ged has extensive experience of Employment & Skills with a distinct focus on creating Social Value and delivering local benefits through the following;

  • Opening up opportunities and awareness of the construction industry
  • Changing the perception of apprenticeships
  • Enhancing engagement with schools/education
  • Creating a pipeline of talent and addressing skills shortages
  • Co-ordinating a programme of employer engagement
  • Creating work experience and job opportunities
  • Managing local Employment & Skills plans
  • Leading and setting National Skills academy for construction targets across main contractors
  • Delivering a local community benefits programme across our JV projects.
